QUICKSHOT’S NEW LINE OF MULTIMEDIA SPEAKERS HIT THE MARKET WITH UNIQUE DESIGN AND REMOTE CONTROL MODULE | |
Milpitas, California, July 27, 1998 - Today QuickShot announced that it will launch its new line of multimedia speaker systems this fall. The first scheduled release will be QuickShot’s Casablanca model. Casablanca is a compact, three-piece multimedia speaker system featuring two satellite speakers and a subwoofer that is suitable for either floor or desktop placement. The satellite speakers contain 3” full-range drivers in a contoured white casing with cloth grills. The subwoofer comes with a high-powered 4” bass driver housed in a matching white cabinet. Casablanca utilizes QSound Virtual Audio technology to convert the standard stereo signal for a virtual surround sound effect. This system comes with a remote control unit and control module upgrade options. Casablanca will ship in October 1998 with an estimated MSRP of $129.99. QuickShot’s Control Module Design Casablanca utilizes a Digital Control Interface specifically designed for easy exchange among the different control modules. QuickShot’s innovative Digital Control Interface allows the user to upgrade to USB or IEEE 1394 (FireWire) standard through the control module port. With this digital arrangement, the control modules can be conveniently replaced/exchanged by simply plugging/unplugging the modules to/from a mini-DIN jack. QuickShot’s Future Releases Following Casablanca’s release, QuickShot will release its sleek MonteCarlo 2.1 and MonteCarlo 4.1 multimedia speaker systems featuring DVD-standard Dolby Digital technology. The MonteCarlo 2.1 will consist of two satellite speakers and a powerful 6-1/4” subwoofer while the 4.1 model will have four satellite speakers and the same powerful 6-1/4” subwoofer as the 2.1 model. These systems will also contain QuickShot’s unique Digital Control Interface and remote control unit. The MonteCarlo models are scheduled to ship Q1 1999.
