J-LINK ELIMINATES THE SWITCHING FRENZY AMONG GAMING CONTROLLERS
MILPITAS, CA., September 2, 1997 -- QuickShot Technology, Inc., a leading manufacturer of game controllers and multimedia peripherals, is proud to introduce the J-Link and J-Link Turbo gameport switches; both designed to add convenience to the overall gaming experience. In such a growing industry, software companies strive to develop competitive games, and in turn, create a need for several different types of gaming controllers to utilize them. For gamers, this can pose a problematic inconvenience while switching from one game controller to another. QuickShot recognized this common occurrence and created the J-Link and J-Link Turbo to alleviate the tedious task of connecting and disconnecting several controllers at a given moment. Both the J-Link and J-Link Turbo's general features include a five-position selector to switch among four game controllers (i.e. joysticks, gamepads, yokes and steering wheels) and two-player mode, and a four foot game port cable. Distinguishing additions offered by the J-Link Turbo are LED's to indicate the active selection and four independent turbo controls for each game controller. The IBM and MIDI compatible gameport switches, J-Link and J-Link Turbo, are now available through distributors and major retail outlets. J-Link's suggested retail price is $17.99 and J-Link Turbo can be purchased at $21.99.
